Supplements have their own labeling rulebook, close enough to food labeling to look familiar and different enough to get a label rejected. The panel is Supplement Facts, not Nutrition Facts, and its format rules differ in ways reviewers check. White Graphics lays each required element out to spec:

Statement of identity: the product name plus the term “dietary supplement” (or a variant naming the ingredient class), on the principal display panel.
Supplement Facts panel: serving size, dietary ingredients with amounts and Daily Values where established, proprietary blends with total weights, and source ingredients formatted to the supplement-specific rules.
Other ingredients: excipients, capsule materials, and fillers listed in descending order below the panel.
Net quantity of contents: count, weight, or volume, placed on the front panel.
Manufacturer, packer, or distributor: name and address, with the contact line for adverse-event reporting.
Structure/function disclaimer: where the label makes a structure/function claim, the required FDA disclaimer appears, set prominently and tied to the claim it covers.

If the formulation only exists as a spreadsheet so far, prepress can build the Supplement Facts panel from it, position the disclaimer, and flag whatever looks off before anything goes to press: a disease claim hiding in marketing copy, say, or a missing serving size. For retail products, we also place your UPC barcode and verify it scans. Supplement label file setup and panel type

Supplement panels run small; on a 2 oz bottle the fine print earns its name. Minimum type sizes and stroke weights get checked before press for that reason. Files want the Supplement Facts panel and disclaimer inside a safe zone, a die off the real container, bleed, and vector format (PDF, AI, or EPS) in CMYK at 300 dpi. No finished file? Prepress builds the panel with you.

What’s the difference between Supplement Facts and Nutrition Facts?

Supplement Facts is the FDA-mandated panel for dietary supplements, with its own rules: serving sizes set by the manufacturer, dietary ingredients with or without Daily Values, proprietary blends with total weights, and source ingredients allowed inside the panel. We build both formats to the correct rulebook for your product.

Do you add the FDA disclaimer for structure/function claims?

We do. Where your label carries a structure/function claim, prepress sets the required disclaimer (“This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration…”) prominently and ties it to the claim it covers.

Can you build the Supplement Facts panel from my formulation data?

Send the formulation spreadsheet and our prepress team lays out the panel in the current FDA format, positions it on the information panel, and calls out anything questionable before it prints.

Will the labels resist oils and moisture?

They can. For daily-handled products we spec durable white films with oil- and moisture-resistant laminates, so fish-oil fingerprints, powder dust, and bathroom humidity don’t stain or blur the label.

Do you print short runs for a new supplement launch?

Yes. A first launch or single-SKU test is a normal run size here, and the setup scales to contract-manufacturing volumes with consistent quality.
