Materials that shrug off wax, fragrance oil, and warm glass
Candle packaging fails in predictable ways: fragrance oil smudges uncoated paper, a wax drip stains it permanently, and the label nearest a burning wick sits on glass that runs warm. We spec against all three: film substrates that wipe clean, laminates that seal the print surface, and adhesives that hold on warm, slightly flexing vessels. Paper still has its place on luxury lines; when you want a textured stock, we laminate and position it so the tactile look survives the burn cycle.

Candle label artwork, set up right
Candle vessels taper more often than they admit, so we draw the die from the actual glass. Keep scent names inside the safe zone, give the art bleed, and supply vector artwork (PDF, AI, or EPS) in CMYK at 300 dpi. If the artwork isn’t print-ready, prepress preps it, draws the die, and builds the matching bottom warning label so the whole set stays one job.

Do candles need a warning label?
Retailers and the industry’s ASTM F2058 cautionary-labeling standard expect one on every vessel: the fire-safety warning on the container bottom. We print matching bottom labels sized to your tins and jars, with the standard wording and pictograms.
Will the label handle heat from the burning candle?
It can. We spec films, laminates, and adhesives rated for the warmth a container candle puts out, so labels stay flat and adhered through burn cycles. Tell us the vessel and we’ll match the build to it.
What about wax and fragrance-oil stains?
Film substrates with sealed laminate surfaces wipe clean where uncoated paper would stain. If your brand calls for a textured paper look, we’ll spec a laminate that protects it without killing the texture.
Can you label a tapered tumbler?
Yes. Tapered vessels call for a curved die line, and we draw it from the actual vessel geometry; force a straight label onto a taper and it wrinkles.
Can each scent run in a different quantity?
They can. Shared die, digital printing, no plates: ten scents run as one job, each variant in its own quantity, with the shared brand color held identical across all of them.
