Paper character that survives the sink
Handmade soap brands sell texture: kraft bands, deckled looks, letterpress-style type. The trouble is where soap lives, next to a sink, handled by wet hands, in the most humid room of the house. We keep the handcrafted look and armor it, pairing textured stocks with laminates that block moisture wicking, and switching to film where a liquid line makes paper impossible. The band still feels artisan without dissolving like one.

Is your soap a soap, a cosmetic, or a drug?
Under FDA definitions, most “soap” on the market isn’t legally soap, and the classification decides your label. The three paths:
- True soap: made of alkali salts of fatty acids and marketed only for cleaning, regulated as a consumer product outside FDA cosmetic rules.
- Cosmetic: claim moisturizing, exfoliating, or beautifying (or stray from a true-soap formula) and cosmetic labeling applies, meaning identity, net contents, the INCI ingredient declaration in descending order, and your name and address.
- Drug: antibacterial, acne, or eczema claims move the bar into OTC drug territory with a Drug Facts panel.
- Net weight reality: bars are sold by weight, and cured bars keep losing water; the declared weight has to be honest at sale, so we size the declaration to your cured weight.
- Voluntary transparency: many true-soap makers list ingredients anyway because customers expect it; voluntary lists still need to be truthful.

Bars shrink as they cure, and a band sized to a fresh bar flops on a cured one, so we match band length to the bar you sell. Files carry the weight statement in a safe zone, bleed, and vector art (PDF, AI, or EPS) at 300 dpi in CMYK. Prepress preps anything unfinished.

What information does a soap label need?
It depends on what your product legally is: true soap needs honest identity, net weight, and your business information; cosmetic-path soap adds the INCI ingredient declaration; drug-path claims add a Drug Facts panel. We lay out whichever set applies.
Do I have to list ingredients on handmade soap?
True soap marketed only for cleaning doesn’t require it; any cosmetic claim does. Many makers list anyway because customers expect it, and a voluntary list still has to be truthful.
What weight do I put on a curing bar?
The honest weight at sale. Cured bars lose water over time, so we set the declaration to your cured-bar weight rather than the fresh-pour number.
Will a kraft band survive the bathroom?
Laminated, yes. We seal textured and kraft stocks against moisture wicking so the artisan look outlives the first week at the sink.
Can you size bands to my bars?
We can. Send a cured bar or its dimensions and we cut the band to wrap snug, with the overlap landing where you want it.
Do you print small maker runs?
