Color Accuracy Guaranteed
A trail-mix brand moving from hand-tied bags into stand-up pouches lands in the flexible-packaging corner of the food aisle, where labels apply to films instead of glass and the allergen list works overtime. Nuts, dairy, wheat, and sesame run through snack recipes constantly, and multi-serving bags bring dual-column Nutrition Facts into play. We print custom snack food labels for pouch and bag brands, from first flavor to full lineup. Snack label printing from this shop keeps the line loud, legal, and consistent on G7® Master Certified presses in Naperville, Illinois.
Snack label sizes for pouches, bags, and tubs
Pouches don’t come in standard faces, so snack dies get mapped to the bag itself. We produce front panels and full front-and-back sets for stand-up pouches, wraps for snack tubs and canisters, and small top labels for clear clamshells.
Shapes
Rectangles and arches for pouch faces, circles for canister lids, and bespoke die shapes for brand moments.
Materials
Conformable white films that bond to pouch substrates and flex with the bag.
Finishes
Gloss for snack-aisle pop, matte for better-for-you positioning; both laminated for oil and handling.
Formats
Singles for hand application; rolls for pouch lines.
Labeling onto film is its own physics. Tell us the pouch material and we’ll match the adhesive.
Labels that flex with the bag
A pouch is never still: it flexes in the case, crinkles in the hand, and bulges as product settles. Put rigid label stock on that film and it wrinkles, then lifts at the corners. We spec conformable films with adhesives matched to pouch substrates, and for oily snacks we add sealed faces that keep fingerprints from becoming part of the design, so the bag stays shoppable to the bottom of the box.
Loud shelves reward exact color
The snack aisle is the loudest real estate in the store; a brand survives it on instant recognition. G7® Master Certified press control holds your color to the same value on every flavor, drop, and reorder, so shoppers keep finding you in the wall of noise.
Snack copy: allergens first, columns second
Snack labeling is standard FDA food labeling with two pressure points turned up. How we set each element:
- Allergen declarations: peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, wheat, soy, and sesame dominate snack recipes; the Contains line covers your formula exactly.
- Cross-contact advisories: “made in a facility” statements set where your operation warrants them; the wording stays your advisor’s call.
- Dual-column Nutrition Facts: multi-serving bags plausibly eaten at once show per-serving and per-container columns; we build the trigger cases right.
- Identity and net weight: honest weight declarations on packages that settle.
- Ingredient lists: descending order, with seasonings and their sub-ingredients broken out the way the rule requires.
- Claims care: “baked,” “protein,” and better-for-you language carries definitions; we flag what needs substantiation.
Everything above traces to the FDA’s food-label guidance; we typeset the bag to your approved copy.
Everything in the snack drawer
We print pressure-sensitive snack labels for chips and popcorn, trail mixes and nuts, jerky and meat snacks, granola and clusters, and dried fruit. Related categories: cookie & baked goods labels, Nutrition Facts panel work, and the broader food label program. Or browse every category we print.
Pouch artwork that lands flat
A pouch’s printable face is smaller than the pouch, because gussets and seals take their cut, so our prepress team maps the real usable area before drawing the die. Art needs the Contains line inside a safe zone, bleed all around, and vector files (PDF, AI, or EPS) in CMYK, 300 dpi.
Pouch-line production without the wrinkles
Snack runs respect the pouch: prepress maps the usable face (gussets and seals subtracted), draws the die to it, and proofs the loud palette via GMG before the certified G7® pass on conformable film. Lamination rated for oil and handling plus substrate-matched adhesive follow, with rolls wound for pouch lines or singles for hand application. Dual-column panels get their own legibility check.
Snack food label FAQs
Will labels stick to my pouches?
They will, once the adhesive matches the pouch substrate and the face film flexes with the bag. Send the pouch spec and we’ll pair the build to it.
When does a snack bag need dual-column Nutrition Facts?
Once a multi-serving package could plausibly be eaten in one sitting, the panel shows per-serving and per-container columns. We build the right format for your size.
How are allergens handled on snack labels?
A correct Contains line for everything in the formula, plus facility advisories where your operation calls for them. Both get set at a readable size in plain view.
Can seasonal flavors run in small quantities?
They can. Flavor drops run on shared dies in their own counts, with the core line’s color untouched.
Do you print canister and lid labels too?
We do: wraps and lid circles for tubs and canisters, matched to the pouch line’s design.
Our bags are oily inside — does that matter?
It does; snack oils find their way to the outside. Sealed faces and laminates keep the label crisp through greasy handling.
What file format works for snack label artwork?
PDF, AI, or EPS as vector, CMYK at 300 dpi with bleed, die mapped to the pouch’s usable face. Prepress maps that face first.
